TDR-1 in flight

Classic builder’s photo of a TDR-1 in flight showing its lean, racy lines. This picture must have been taken during an operational test, as the cockpit glass has been removed and the landing gear has been dumped – clearly a one-way trip! Slung underneath the fuselage is a torpedo. The service panel for the television camera is clearly visible just above the port engine. Also note the crisp paint scheme with striped tail – obviously not combat markings! (Courtesy of Norm Tengstrom)
