I am attempting to reach Nick Spark to give him information about my grandfather, Henry Walden, inventor of the first American Monoplane, in 1909. I also have information on what our family lore always called a "guided missle" but was infact a model of a drone, a missle that would contain explosives which was to be dropped from an airplane and guided by radio waves to its target, hence we called it a guided missle. He attempted to get the military interested in in but in their wisdom they weren't interested. The model, which can be googled online along with much other info on this amazing man, is supposedly stored in the Smithsonian Museum, but not on display. He does have on display in the Air and Space Museum in the Old Timers section a small model of him on one of his monoplanes. I will be happy to forward you the information I have on this drone and other info on my grandfather if you reply to me. I've googled pictures of it and have them at my office if you're interested.

His son, my uncle, James Walden, is still alive and lives in Florida and has much info on this incredibly creative man with many patents to his name, and is a family treasure.

Ps I saw your name on the tv show about the bombing of Hitlers bomb center designed to destroy London. I don't have the name of the show in front of me and decided to google you

Really well done! My congratulations! My father Lt. Mike Priseler was the commander
of VK-12, STAG-1 and as I understand it was the pilot of the plane that had the first successful attack mission. I have been doing some research and found this site. As I recall, there was an earlier site that talked a little more about my dad. But the fact that all of these men participated in the growth of "guided missles", now smart bombs, tells me they were all heroes. Congrats on a great website...........Mike Priseler
